Challenge #2: Life Is Sweet
Inspirational Focus:
"That it shall never come again is what makes life so sweet" - Emily Dickinson
What makes your life sweet?
Where do you find sweetness in your everyday life?
What about today do you want to remember for a lifetime?
What happened yesterday that found you standing there
with a smile on your face, or a tear in your eye?
It can be as simple as an 'I love you',
whispered across the room. It can be life altering;
the birth of a baby, a brand new home. This week,
we want you to tell us about your sweetest moments.
Journaling~
Big wet kisses and a toothless grin,
kissing chubby cheeks.....oh how SWEET it is!!!

Challenge #6: What Will You Do Next?
"Be the change you want to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi
You've spent several weeks thinking about the world around you,
your dreams, loves and motivations.
You've invoked powerful emotions through photography, the use of color and design.
You've looked outside your typical places to find inspiration.
You've done an amazing job. Now, we want you to tell us - "What are you going to do next? What are you going to do to make this world a better place?"
Here is my final LO for the SUAS contest,
I have grown in so many ways from this experience.
From the moment I opened my SUAS kit I fell in love with this quote.
It's so perfect, so I decided to use it as inspiration for my final LO,
use only the items from the SUAS kit and to create my first "no photo" LO.

Ainsley's First Halloween
A Good friend of mine had her first baby Last month.
When she emailed me this cute pic of her little one dressed
up like a pumpkin surround by pumpkins.......
I just HAD to scrap her.
Isn't she the cutest "Lil' Pumpkin" ! I can't wait to meet her.

POWERHOUSE BUCKING BULLS
Travis brought home a new cow (due to have her first calf in Mar)
We named her Ms. Kitty because she is the Granddaughter to Skat Kat
And a new Bull! He's a registered 2 yr old and ready to
compete this coming yr.
That brings our herd up to 11 head.
Come spring we should have 16!

SUAS week 5
Challenge #5: A picture says 1000 words
Inspirational Focus:"A true photograph need not to be explained,
nor can it be contained in words." - Ansel Adams
Many times a photograph says everything without a single word.
It can capture a moment in time perfectly,
express an emotion that will bring a tear to your eye,
or bring a distant memory back to life as vividly as if it had happened yesterday.
Often times, photos express what our words cannot and this week we want you to prove it!
Goodbye
The picture of me holding and saying goodbye to my Daughter
brings back such emotion, it touches each of my senses.
No words can explain my feelings and thoughts of my time with Belle.
But they can be seen and felt by looking at her pictures.

Challenge #3: Let the Music Move You
Inspirational Focus:"Where words fail, music speaks"
- Hans Christian Andersen
Music ah, the sweet notes, the poignant lyrics, the melodies.
There are times when a song or lyric captures exactly what we have on our minds.
It can be the soundtrack that plays consistently through our lives.
It can give us comfort when we are lonely, respite when we are tired.
Music can convey so many feeling and thoughts.
Music and lyrics can transport you back in time and invoke memories.
Lyrics can also be a magical inspiration for creating amazingly powerful layouts.
Our challenge to you is to let music be your muse -
Use a lyric of a song to create a layout that is meaningful to you and the people you love.
How Can I Help You Say Goodbye?
This picture of my oldest Daughter holding her baby Sister's hand,
at her viewing always pulls at my heartstrings.
The emotion on her face shows just how much the loss of her Sister effected her.
Many times the chorus of this song
"How can I help you say goodbye" by Patty Loveless
came to mind as I tried to help her understand this loss at such a tender age.
The challenge this week gave me the inspiration and push to put this page together.
Journaling~
How can I help you say goodbye?
Mama whispered softly, Time will ease your pain
Life's about changing, nothing ever stays the same
And she said, How can I help you to say goodbye?
It's OK to hurt, and it's OK to cry
Come, let me hold you and I will try
How can I help you say goodbye?

Stand up and Scrap wk 1
I was a contestant in the Stand Up and Scrap contest.
(complete the layout challenge each week for 6 wks)
It was such a great learning experience,
the challenges really pushed me out of my comfort zone,
and I have 6 great LOs that I owe to SUAS!
Be warned, 4 out of the 6 wks I was inspired to scrap some very emotional LO's.
While it was hard, it was very good therapy, much needed and long over due.
SUAS week 1
Challenge #1: Dream Big
Inspirational Focus:
If you could have one dream come true what would it be?
What does your dream say about you?
Be creative and design a page that is meaningful to YOU
and shares with the world a dream that you hope will come true someday.
Design Focus: Brushwork -
We think brushes have the ability to take an ordinary layout
extraordinary places and want to challenge you to use brushes to bring
the inspirational focus of your page to life.
Brushes can add whimsy, grunge, beauty and so much more to a page
so use them to create a mood to suit the dream you are sharing.
I Dream of You
Journaling reads:
My little Angel, I Dream of you
The nine months that I carried you were simply not enough.
I dreamed of all the years we’d have, the joy of watching you grow.
I dreamed of watching you with your siblings,
the love and laughter you would share.
But never in my dreams, did I picture you not here.
I held your perfect body, and kissed your silent lips,
I never dreamed I’d have to say good-bye before we ever met.
Not a day goes by that my heart doesn’t ache.
I may not have you in my arms, but I have you in my heart.
My sweet baby I still dream of holding you, but in another place.....
I Dream of you in Heaven surrounded by your family.
Your Mommy and your Daddy, your Brothers and Sisters too.
We will all be there together the way we were ment to be.

written in my own words.

Twilight
Dennis and Alison raved about this book when I was down in Vegas.
I read the first chapter down there.
Wow, I'm more than half way through, and it's so hard to put down!
So thanks for recommending it! But also "thanks" for the sleep I'm loosing out on!
If anyone needs a good read, this is it!
But be warned it is addicting and this is just the first book in the series.

Every child is born a naturalist.
Her eyes are, by nature, open to the glories of the stars,
the beauty of the flowers, and the mystery of life.

Hi All!
Ok, I'm going to try this blog thing again, hopefully I will be better at this time.
I want a place for friends and family to come and see what we are up to and watch
how fast the kids are growing up.
I'll share my newest hobbie~passion~addiction~obsession.......
Digi Scrapbooking!
I'll share the good and bad (hopefully more good) along the way.
Check my links and I'll point you towards my favorite stores, designers, galleries.
My Angel Baby, Belle, and my Mom are what started my interest in digi scrapping.
Thus the name of my blog "Digi Scrap Therapy" That's exactly what it's been for me.
My healing as I've journeyed through the grief of loosing My Mom to breast cancer and my Daughter to a cord accident.
This seemed to be the perfect month to start blogging again, as its a big Awareness month for me.
Oct. 15 is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day.
And the month of Oct is also for Breast Cancer Awareness.
I'm off to bed, I'll do more setting up tomorrow. That will be an adventure, LOL
I'm a few days late.....but here is my first LO to post~
In Memory of Belle on Oct 15 (pregnancy and infant loss awareness day)
